Before and After - kitchen cupboards

My mum came to visit and opened a cupboard 'What's this? Is it the rubbish bin?' So cupboard sortout needed!!

This is before:

I also had another cupboard with pans in a similar state and some other bits and pieces to go away

After

So I decided to put all the baking, mixer, bread maker and dip dishes etc together in the big cupboard and all the pans in the smaller cupboard - only thing is this is at the end of my kitchen so bit of a pain. I also have no shelves in any cupboards so I will have to get some soon!!

Pan cupboard AKA rubbish bin!
New baking and appliance cupboard!

Much better, not perfect but it's a start!!! and it has been staying tidy as well and I have been putting things away in it and even doing some baking and making bread. It is all together in one place so much easier to find what I need!

Easter Holidays

Being a teacher I get to enjoy two weeks holiday! Well so far I have been busy catching up with housework - washing bedding (we had some friends to visit at the weekend) and I fully intended to go to school and clear out my stock room as I have a new classroom and never had the chance to unpack so it really needs a good sort out. But I am really good at procrastinating and I never really made it and I'm not sure I will have time next week!! MMM never mind. The main problem is it is only open in the morning and I tend to have a slow start in the holidays!!! I Have been looking for some baskets for my stock room so I am going to make sure I get these. Thats the first step! I am also going away tonight so I have lots to do.
Here is today's list

  • Wrap and post parcel for friend

  • Pay bill

  • Hang washing up todry

  • Go to bargin store and look at baskets and tubs- take folder for size

  • Go supermarket and get shower gel, mini eggs for krispy cakes and easter eggs

  • Take clothes and shoes in car boot to charity shop

  • Finish off packing

  • Make tea - rice and hallumi and veg!

My Garden

With all these lovely spring days we wanted to get the garden started. We have been in our house nearly 10 months now and not really attempted any gardening. The previous owner had weed killed anything around the edges, so we weren't sure what would grow! We now have two daffodils and lots of bluebells - which have not flowered yet. We have also discovered some Solomon seal growing which is lovely. I will add another post with details of what we have been doing with the garden but at the moment my favorite is the new weeping cherry blossom tree we planted at the front, which is now in full bloom!
